I have a question about the airport data. I'd like to create thumbnails for airports; something like Google's staticmaps:
<http://maps.google.com/staticmap?center=-18.585178,-173.961717&zoom=15&size=240x200&key=MAPS_API_KEY&sensor=true_or_false&maptype=satellite> Google's TOS won't let me use them outside of a browser. I've been trying to come up with some way to generate similar thumbnails and so far have failed horribly; at 60m pixel size the Landsat imagery doesn't provide sufficient resolution and I can't figure out how to get a jpeg out of the ESRI .sh? files. Does anyone have a legal source for getting images of airports based on the data in the index.txt file that ships with the dataset?
