Yup  :-)
1.) Get QGIS
2.) From the menu select Layer -> Add WMD Layer
3.) Create a new server connection
3.a) "Landcover-DB" would be suitable as a name, but you're free to
     choose your favourite one
3.b) Insert the WMS URL from the 'mapserver.flightgear.org' main page
4.) Connect to the WMS
5.) Select the layers you'd like to see (Ctrl-click allows you to add
    multiple layers, as usual)
6.) Add the layers (don't close the window before adding)

It has proven to be useful to add the 'v0_landmass' layer if you didn't
already zoom into the target area. Certain layers become visible
depending on the zoom level in order to prevent cluttering the view as
well as saving the server(s) from overload.
