A new year's eve release sounds good to me. I'm planning to take up some time 
off between December 21 and Jan 1st, so I have plenty of opportunity to work 
on FlightGear. So, a new year's eve release should be possible (from my end of 
things), but unfortunately, I won't have any time at all until that time.
