Hi, I have to agree Nathanael! Very funny... I don't think that Gijs and Curtis will like your posting here.... Some answers:
>Welcome at the official database for FlightGear liveries! >With respect I wish to establish some facts1) who are the "officers" in >>charge to make it official and Curtis Olson and Gijs de Rooy. Curtis as Head of the Project FlightGear, Gijs as one of our developers and contributors. >2) where is the database, and under the GPL terms how do I aqquire that >>database and also3) how you consider that using a company's logo makes it >>official. The same licence like FlightGear itself. Official becuase it is the official place for all additional liveries. This was made because CVS/ GIT hasn't enough place for all liveries done for the airccrafts. The A320 has already more than 20 liveries- a bit too much for GIT! >I am provoking questions here as >1) there is no official organisation - apart from all the contributors >and >domain owners whim and2) the data is upon some proprietry server >somewhere >and definately not available to the General public and >3) You are using my companys logo, and under some terms you are WELL OUT >OF >TRADEMARK order... Sorry, but you need some private lessons in law and copyright! The trademarks are under the Fair Trade- we have dicussed this issue earlier. >I will challenge this in UK courts the rights.. its a bit of a test case >for >me as I can "file documents".. and indeed need it to be a test bed >for the >future. >I need a response fast.. though >I want to know who is using logo's from companies, so I can sue them and >take >your network down on behalf of some airline or patents.. and u >better get a >LIFE.. >Virgin are a good candiate.. But a leary airline in ireland want to >charge >for a poo.. >and believe me.. I firmly beleve that rimble is coming... >pete >Devils advocate >(and can see it coming) Slowly I believe that you are behind FlightproSim. If you have enough money you can do what you want. But this would mean that all liveries made by MSFS-Users and X-Plane users are illegeal as well. Believe me- that question was raised by every Simulator more than once. And everytime it was clear: it isn't illegal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ThinkGeek and WIRED's GeekDad team up for the Ultimate GeekDad Father's Day Giveaway.
