Something must be done, this is something, therefore it should be done :-).

Seriously, Git has never been right for the data. We were promised a fix,
which has never materialized. SVN can be no worse, and it might be better.
Terrasync indicates that it might well be better, and might give us the
ability to pull aircraft down for MP on the fly.

I agree with Erik. 

Perhaps Alessandro would take this forward with some more concrete proposals
that we could consider.
