Found it and installed it. After I got it activated I tried importing some
simpler models. The import blows up with a bunch of python errors. So it
looks like we will need to wait for something that actually works.

I just copied the 2.9.10 ebuild from the gamerlay overlay to my local overlay
and renamed it. The only change I made was to comment out the cmake.patch
lines.

IE.

# src_prepare() {
#     epatch "${FILESDIR}"/${PN}-cmake.patch
# }

My models look OK with this setup.

There is also a version bump request in the Gentoo bug tracker (365143) but it
has not been responded to other than it being assigned to the group that
handles gaming stuff. I bumped it for 3.0 about a week ago. It might actually
be faster to contact the person who does the gamerlay overlay since the most
recent version in portage is 2.8.3 which is rather old at this point. You
should consider voting for the bug.

By the way my current FG setup is crashing occationally. I am not sure of the
source of the crashes at this point. That is I don't know if the crashes are
related to the aggressive optimization or if they are OSG3 related or
something in the recent GIT versions of FG or simgear. I will try to sort it
out over the next few days.
