I've seen a couple of these when preparing the terrain which is now on the Base Package. The Bay Area was built using additional custom land cover by Christian Schmitt and the cases I had to fix (manually) in order to prevent these grey patches usually looked like this: line Polygon A / / =========================/====================== / Polygon B / / / / [...] ..... with just a short segment of the line reaching into Polygon A, whereas Polygon A showed up as being grey in FlightGear. After trimming down these line segments in Polygon A back to the polygon boundary, all polys got textured properly.
