There is an alternative to an AI Version. For Aircraft with Livery Select it is
possible to have the MP/AI Version load it's texture from a different directory
with smaller sized Images. That way only the Liveries Images and the XML files
need adaption.
Another Loading time increasing factor is the Cockpit with all it's instruments.
I now use a low poly version without instruments for MP. This is triggered by a
property set from the nasal section of the Model XML file. That way only the MP
Model gets low poly and by setting the Property one can get the whole detailed
Cockpit back if necessary (e.g. for dual Control). Check the Model XML files of
the F-86 for an example.
