Title: Message

Hi all,

I have recently purchased FlightGear V0.9.6 (win32) on CD and installed it some 5 days ago.

All went well for 3 days using an old late-80’s Gravis joystick.

I purchased a new Logitech Attack 3 joystick, uninstalled the old one and installed the new one. From that time onwards FlightGear has refused to load. That is, it works up to the point of clicking “RUN” after which two windows appear, one blank the other with the picture of an aircraft, 3 beeps are heard then the aircraft window disappears and I am left with the previous screen with the options “Advanced, Back, Run, Quit”

Can anyone suggest a work around for this problem.

I have tried the following-:

1                 Un-Installed FlightGear

2                 Un-Installed the new joystick

3                 Cleared the registry of all references to FlightGear

4                 Packed the registry

5                 Re-Installed the old joystick

6                 Re-Installed FlightGear

I have not installed any additional scenery or airports and I am using the defaults in all choices.

The Operating system is Windows XP-Home, Service Pack 2

The Computer is equipped with the following:-

C Drive 40 gig, Fat 32

E Drive 120 gig, NTFS. FlightGear is loaded here

AMD 2000+ CPU

512 Meg SDRAM

Video Adaptor NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 Pro 32 Meg

Video Accelerator M64

Microsoft PC-joystick driver

“js_demo” reports both joysticks accurately and I have tried out “fgjs” with success.
