Hi Sid, first thank you very much for your prompt reply. That is what I tried first (and several times again). YAST offers that glib* stuff but no gcc/-c++ compiler. I installed all from the development package. May be you own the commercial SUSE 10.1 version? I installed the free OpenSuse 10.1. Anyway, it would be nice if you tell me what version you own.
