In an earlier preview that aired a couple weeks ago, they actually showed a clip of FlightGear's Cessna 310 spinning into the ocean. They also showed an ATC 710 simulator sitting on a table (this is a flightgear based FAA level 3 ftd certified sim) with 3 large monitors arrange in front of it for the out-the-window views.
Given that this clip showed up in the context of the court room, I could surmise that perhaps they were using the simulator for a dramatic court room demonstration to turn the tables on the evil defense team and hopefully win the case for their poor deserving client??? But I would just be making wild guesses based on about 4 frames of clips I slow-mo'd through on my Tivo several weeks go. :-)
Maybe I'm projecting the JFK crash onto this episode in my mind, and I do know that this episode is actually *much* different. The actual crash was not into the ocean so I don't know why it appeared that way on the clip? Maybe they forgot to load the appropriate scenery? Hmmm, maybe I should dig back through my inbox and see if there are any more "how do you run terrasync emails" I haven't responded to. :-)
