The vikings defense is for real this year, but teams are smart so I'm sure that Pats have scouted us out really well.
I got to go to my first NFL game last year. I discovered that if you want to watch the game stay home and watch it on your TV. If you go to the stadium you'll be distracted the whole time by the cheerleaders. I should blog on nfl cheerleaders some time because I do have some serious thoughts on the matter, but I'm worried my wife might misinterpret them. :-) It was really weird though for the first quarter to see a dozen women jumping around with forced smiles and waves and pretty much being useless. They celebrated every play whether it was good for us or bad, just because they have their backs turned to the field (well most of the time.) They do spin around and face the other way once in a while. [ok this is where my wife could misinterpret my comments.] :-) I thought, how contrived, and how silly, and to think that someone would subject themselves to doing that stupid stuff, and do it continously for 3-4 hours. There's a really strange culture of NFL cheerleading that just seemed really weird, kind of dumb, and pointless. But by the second half I was starting to get used to it ... .
