Under Windows there are settings for the Keyboard delay and repeat rate. So
the delay can be set to 0. I would think you should have a similar setting
in the keyboard options under SUSE 10.1.
As far as holding one key down and repeating then pressing another key that
will always kill the repeat on the first key. Every keyboard I have ever
used behaved that way.
