that is strange.

I used these settings on a windows pc outside uni and it worked fine. but
issues here at uni behind fiewalls and NAT

p.s. 0 is a valid entry for LAN as long as it is in the third digit

Well in my case I had to set my "incoming" ip to 0.0.0.0 before it would
work... my connection is a "pppd dialup" type .. although it's not
really a dialup..

Anyway, if I put in anything other than 0.0.0.0 it simply receives no
data.. although it does send data..
