I should add that I also see artifacts with some aircraft when on the ground.  
Shadows on many aircraft will be rendered in the wrong location and the 
exhaust manifolds and propeller disk on the P51D will also be in the wrong 
location.   I guess from reading about this that this indicates that, at 
least for my setup with these particular aircraft, that Z-near to too close.  
Is it also possible that Z-near and Z-far need to have different values with 
different GPUs?
