Randomly tried some other files and ended up with another potential problem on
e100n20.tgz from ftp://flightgear.wo0t.de/flightgear-ftp/ftp/Scenery-1.0.1/

When unpacking, it tells about "trailing garbage":
=================================================================
m...@infbsdb1 ~/tmp/90 616 > gzip -d e100n20.tgz

gzip: e100n20.tgz: decompression OK, trailing garbage ignored
m...@infbsdb1 ~/tmp/90 617 >
=================================================================

File size is identical to what is written on the ftp server, md5sum differs.
Downloaded twice with the identical result. Never had download problems else,
btw..

So it might be good to check the integrity of all files on the server.
