1. I tried "fltk2-config --compile mycode.cxx" and got the
correct display. So, the problem is solved. What left to answer is how
did that happen. I have some interesting test result. Please read the
following.


-- Well, that sounds like a result then. I assume there must be
something inherent in the linking of the libraries that is causing the
problem on your system, but I have no idea what.
However, it does sound like you have a way forward now.
