1. I did a "make distclean", then "./configure", and then "make". Still got
the same error when compiling glut. The source code of r6793 was downloaded
from FLTK site tar.gz package and r6829 was svned from FLTK site. When I did
"./configure", it already noticed that I don't have opengl installed, and I
also tried to add "--diable-gl" option. From the final summary of configure,
I could see that configure did know that opengl did not exist.
2. > Did you add error checking to the font calls in the test program
I posted?
I just copied your source code. No error checking was added. Besides, I
don't know how to do the error checking. If not bothering, please show me
how it is done.
3. > Does the 'fonts' program now show Kochi Gothic after you
installed it? If not, the font might not be in effect until you restart the
window/font managers.
After I installed "Kochi Gothic" font, I run "fc-cache" and "fc-list" to
make sure it's installed. Then I run FLTK's test/fonts and test/utf8 example
to check that "Kochi Gothic" font is recognized by FLTK. Both of the awser
is YES.
4. > Did you try putting iLeiHi in place of Kochi Gothic, since you
know that font
is installed (since the fonts program can see it)
Yes, iLiHei and Kochi Gothic are put under /usr/share/fonts/truetype.
5. If I missed any points, feel free to remind me. Thanx for all the help.
