You can also attach text files to the newsgroup postings with
a news reader or to the mailing list. But you are probably right
that you can't do it with the web interface.

I remember something that we had with one pixel wide line drawings.
IIRC one pixel wide lines are extended by one for better
anti-aliasing on Mac. Maybe that's related and can help to
explain the differences, but maybe I'm completely wrong.

Matthias would be the person to ask, but he seems to be
offline for a while now...
