Thanks. It was based on hours of reverse engineering, which is part of the 
problem. With every revision of Xcode, more tags were added and needed to be 
found which was quite time consuming. I have not started to reverse the Xcode 4 
project files, but the difference between 2 and 3 was massive... . The same is 
true for the VC IDE's, and even the Makefile support became more and more 
painful with every additional detail.

It would probably be easier to use a scripting language embedded into a 
template. C++ is not a good choice for this kind of problem.

OTOH, if we can work out a better approach, I can revive this code at any time.
