There are some variants of fltk-1.1.x with UTF-8 support around now.  
OksiD's version of 1.1.6 (on berlios) doesn't have OSX support (I  
don;t think OksiD had access to a Mac at the time.)
Mariwan has a version of 1.1.8, but I don't think it has OSX support  
either. I also have a version of 1.1.8, which has the beginnings of  
OSX support in it, but it is still very dodgy...

Anyway, I've a few things to do, but I'll try and post a snapshot  
with OSX support later today - if you can test it and provide  
feedback (or better, bug-fixes!) that would be great.
