So here is the existing web page structure. I removed some items that are probably only in the core developer logins. Items in () are a description, the rest are the names of the buttons and tabs.
Looking at it from this perspective, I do see a potential for many improvments. Please feel free to insert suggestions into the list below. My approach for GUI design is to take four (made up) people with a different agenda who visit the page: - Adam is the absolute novice, just started learning C++ and wants to do some GUI stuff. Will he find his way around and get FLTK set up and running easily? - Brad works for a company and compares GUI toolkit. He's very experienced in C++ and GUI programming. He knows Qt inside out. Will he still consider FLTK? - Chris uses FLTK every day. He just want the news quickly, manage his account and mailing list, see if his bug got fixed and then be on his way. Will he get to everything quickly? - Dora has a blog about programming. She's not particularly interested in GUIs, more the User type, but she decided to write a GUI comparison. Thousands of developers read her Blog and make decissions based on it. Will she find the information to write about FLTK easily and correctly? Will she immediatly know about copyrights and licenses for links, documentation, photos, screen shots, and names? Now if all four of them will be happy after visiting fltk.org, I will be happy ;-) Oh, and it is also always good to know what the others are doing.
