Yes, that looks about right as an implementation.
I think I remember that thread - I think something similar may also have
come up again since, too...

If you have an implementation you are happy with, would not do any harm
to post it as an STR just in case...

Well, tricky... All the "infrastructure" runs on Mike's servers at
easysw, so far as I know.
