OK, discovered the trick to restore the article count. When the "Next Message" link takes you to one of these invalid messages, use the browser's "back" button to go to the previous valid message, and there click on the "Direct Link to Message" link. This resets the article count correctly. Then you can go to the Forums link again, into fltk.general, and then jump over the invalid article. Cheers D. PS.
