Well I did forget a few things because I was rushing yes we have two well
known football teams Stoke City and Port Vale...don't know which is in the
second division though since I really have no interest in sport. The other
person I should have mentioned is that Robbie Williams is from Burslem (one
of the towns that make up Stoke-on-Trent), apparently he's now quite famous
in other countries (USA etc.) but I don't know how true that is..it just
says that in the papers.
Forgive my ignorance but what is "m.a.x.'s cruise contest"?
cheers,
Sol. (Not so proud of the sports side of Stoke...mainly because the football
side of things has in the past led to running battles in the streets after
the game. When the football ground was still in Boothen before it moved a
guy I knew who ran a pub had to board up his windows on match days to avoid
them getting smashed...unfortunately it seems that stupidity and football
often go together in England)
