FranceNet becomes Fluxus to prepare
its input out of Stock
Exchange

FranceNet, pioneer of the Internet in France,
has just changed name
to baptize " Fluxus " and envisages to enter out
of Stock Exchange "
before summer 2000 ", one learned today near the
company.
Launched in May 1994 by
its president Rafi Haladjan, Fluxus, which is
presented in the form
of " a shelterer of sites and an Internet
integrator
", intends to appear on
the New Market of the Paris Bourse " to finance
its European expansion
".
Fluxus hopes " to raise
several hundreds of million francs " on the
market, indicated to
the AFP Sergio Lovera, general manager and
financial director of
Fluxus. " the objective is to take share of
markets in
Europe by looking at
the market m�ridionnal attentively (Italy, Spain,
Greece, Portugal). In
Italy, we already constituted a subsidiary
company
for lodging besides. On
the other hand, on the other countries, that will
be done rather by
acquisitions ", it continued.
In July 1999, FranceNet
raised 25 million francs (5,1 million� CA), near
the funds of capital
risks Partech and of AGF Private Equity, which
hold
with them two 35% of
the capital of the company. The 65% remain held
by the founders
After six years of
activities, Fluxus, which employs 116
collaborators,
carried out a turnover
in 1999 of 36 million francs (7,4 million� CA).
" In 1999, year of
exponential growth, we recorded losses of 11
million
francs, entrusted
Sergio Lovera, after having known a result
balanced
the previous year ". "
Our principal competitors, underlines Mr. Lovera,
are Atos, France
Telecom H�bergement, Matra Grolier Network and
Colt Imaginet ".
Pioneer of the Internet
in the hexagon in 1994, FranceNet started at his
beginnings as provider
of Internet access to the private individuals and
the companies before
lodging and developing sites.
