Originally I wasn't sure if I'd have enough time to take part but I managed
to come up with a concept that I liked and wrote the software to do it
yesterday.
The above link gives fairly sparse details. I hope it's clear what I'm
doing. Do ask if you have any questions.
Patricia, my documentation for this event will consist of one piece of music
together with the elements used to compose it (Okay?) ..this will make more
sense when you check out the link.
For those of you who already mentioned chance operations I too am employing
these in using the time of day each record is made as the seed for each
chance operation. Someone else mentioned John Cage's use of chance computer
programs being on the web...do you have the links? Sorry I forget who it was
now.
