Cf also _Tristram Shandy_, from back when people really knew how to deflate
such pretensions to profundity. Remember Tristram (a pop name kinda like
say Brittney back then) was supposed to be named, by his father's orders,
Trismagistus, but was actually named (due to servant woman's porous memory)
Tristram, a name his father hated.

This is, btw, a very Flux-before-the-fact book. Who has read it here?
