Hey,
Has anyone gotten an evelope from me yet? If not this is very strange as I
have sent out about 12. Well, keep your fingers crossed if not.
In other news (and though I probably will get yelled at by all the anti-art
schoolers in the house), school starts monday and I have a really full load
(load of what I don't know) but I have 18 units- seven classes. But on the
lighter side I did get all the classes I wanted.
I have a sculpting class, a documentary class, a modern art history class,
three critical studies classes and a class called foundation seminar. This
last class sounds great- whatever outside art you were doing you keep doing
and you just discuss and critique.
The school itself sounds fairly free and open so as to nurture our creative
tendencies. There are very few rules and the rules that do exist, one
teacher said, can be broken if you just talk to somebody. We can install art
anywhere on the campus that suits us.
And they told us that they know we do and will use drugs and drink so just
try to keep it to the safe drugs. Unfortunatly (actually fortunatly), I
stopped drinking and using drugs over a year ago, but it is nice to know
that it is that free.
Anyway, please be kind to me as I am a little school boy. Don't rip me apart
and tell me how stupid I am and how this was the wrong decision.
