Hi all,

Just got back to my e-mail after my christmas holiday and shocked to hear of
Patricia's death. I remember hearing she was ill but didn't know any
details.

Does anyone know if any obituaries/ tributes have been published apart from
the ones on the list?

A couple of people asked what we should do to as a tribute to Patricia. The
only idea I have is as follows: That we add a Fluxlist Obituaries item to
the Fluxlist archives. A link with text such as "Fluxlist Obituaries -
Friends no longer with us" and then a list of names that links to an
obituary page for each member of Fluxlist that we've lost, which so far is I
think is Dick Higgins, Nicholas Zurbrugg and Patricia Harris (aka Princess
Petal). Where an obituary has existed in the press I suggest it be
reproduced. If nothing like that exists then I suggest we work out something
with those who knew the deceased best.

Also I'm sorry to hear about Robin Crozier........someone I'd always
intended to correspond with but never got round to it. I assume there'll be
some sort of exhibition/publication in tribute........can people let me know
if they hear anything with regard to this.

Whilst on this somewhat grim topic of artists no longer with us. There will
be an exhibition in tribute to the late Brian Lane (Fluxus/ Performance/Book
artist) in Ipswich in February..I have printed details which I can give to
anyone interested. Also I will try and produce some e-announcement of it
nearer the time.
A book about the work of Brian Lane has also now appeared and is available
from amazon as follows

Printed Performance
Brian Lane, Martin Rogers (Editor), Simon Cutts (Editor)

Anyway, please let me know what you all think about the Fluxlist Obituaries
idea.

Also is anyone doing something to archive all the web pages and digital work
that Petal produced? We should make sure this stuff doesn't disappear as her
webspace will no doubt be deleted once it has not be used for a while.

On a more positive note I'd like to wish all of you a happy new year and
hope that 2002 brings you all happiness.

cheers,

Sol.
