No, all this is supposed to be "fun," you see.  It's like a carnival for the
military and their fans.  Also, bear in mind that Manhattan is a fairly
narrow island, it wouldn't take a fighter jet more than 8 seconds to fly
across it's width.

No foolin,' people are coming in from all around to see these ships and talk
to the navy and airforce guys.  It probably is kinda fun for the sailors and
aviators who get to kill a week in NYC and be the center of all sorts of
strange admiration.  They do look kinda cute in their fancy dress sailor
suits.

Also:  I got my really swell address book a few days ago.  It's by Norman
Sherfield and has the flatest dog I've ever seen.  One of the inner covers
has what looks to me like a crudely drawn veve for Erzulie (a Voudoun
goddess).  And that's a good thing.

Yep.  Lot's of snatzo zap appeal from Norman. (Really satisfying tape
overlays too.)
