Looks way better with (recalc-normals 0) as well, a bit like a diamond. The plain sphere doesn't look so good when we start to do stuff like colouring in the faces.
Control over the number of faces isn't as granular but the options that are there seem to offer a decent enough range anyway so I don't think that matters too much. Kas.
