What you are missing out on is the AreaOnAreaOverlayer, route your buffered areas thru it before sending them to the dissolver and you'll have on single area.
Bufferer --> AreaOnAreaOverlayer --> Dissolver The AOAO transformer clips all input areas which produces areas that share exact the same boundaries (this is what the Dissolver expects). Good luck. /Nisse -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Frn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Skickat: den 14 mars 2005 23:07 Till: [email protected] mne: [fme] Merging Polys Good afternoon FME Users. I'm trying to merge polys together. I see a transformer AGGREGATOR, but it doesn't add the to areas together to form one poly. I'm looking for some kind of transformer to add areas together and join their areas. I've also seen the DISSOLVER, but my results from this transformer leave me with not much left to join the lines together to form a new poly. Here is what I'm trying to do.....take lines and form polys with the BUFFER transformer, from there I want to join the poly together and form one poly. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm trying to emulate the ArcMap's Buffer Wizard to automate this process. Thanks, Robert Get the maximum benefit from your FME, FME Objects, or SpatialDirect via our Professional Services team.
