Ah, from your discussion it appears that SWF didn't work (and this could be true as you're the first to use it in years that I know of), but also the shape didn't work. But the others you tried seemed to. I'm thinking perhaps that the allowed geometries in the shape output feature types were not set correctly -- in the case of shape files, you must dictate ahead of time what type of geometry you want to allow in the files, since a shape file can hold only 1 kind of geometry. The other formats you mention working don't have this restriction, they can accommodate any geometry and that decision is made on a feature by feature basis. But in any case, from the rest of your comments, I can't help but be reminded of the line from the first Star Trek Movie that was said to Mr. Spock: "Your answer lies elsewhere" (http://daisydownunder.com/Star_Trek_Motion_Picture.html) I'm sorry you feel the way you do but wish you all the best in your endeavours. (We'll still look into the issues you had -- I'll check with Drew on Monday -- if only to see if we can improve the experience for future evaluators).
