Dimitar, I believe the FME DTED writer does compute and write checksums in the resulting DTED files. I'm not exactly sure how the checksums were tested to verify they are being produced properly so it is possible there is a computation error. The support for writing checksums was implemented back in early 2003 as far as I can tell, so it should be present in all recent FME's. This isn't an "official" statement on behalf of Safe but it is based on inspecting the low level DTED writing code that I believe is still used in FME.
