It proved that the problem is different.
The wrong checksum report was misleading.
The guys from program's helpdesk found that there is an EOF1 at the
end of the DTED files and they say that this is supposed to appear in
magnetic tapes data only (according to DTED specification). Luckily
they provided me an executable to clean the files.
Wonder whether it is possible to control whether FME puts this EOF1 at
the end of the files?
