The Access destination was defined by the Workspace Dialog from the X & Y (state plane) coordinates in the source data.  I had negelected to check the destination table for compatibility with coordinates reprojected to Lat/Lon coordinates. However, I feel that the data should still have been written, unless it is a failure of Access.

I did a test by setting up attributes with varying data types (String(20), integer, decimal(20,10), decimal(13,2), single, double) to recieve the same output field representing the Latitude coordinate.  All fields but the decimal(13,2) accepted data. However, if I send the original X or Y (decimal(13,2) values to the Access decimal(13,2) attribute, the values are taken.

You mean that FME had a defined size of 20 in the schema, and the
access database has 13, and because of this no data is written at all?
Even when it would fit in the 13 digit range?

I did see a similar issue yesterday. With a Joiner the translation
stopped with ugly errors when the join attribute was longer than the
size of the Access join key. The ugliness of the error (apart from
stopping the translation with no good reason) was in telling me the
data types didn't match (incorrect).

If you can confirm my interpretation of your problem then I'll ask the
developers to look into it.

Mark
