Hi, To try and locate the problem, read the data into the FME Viewer but change the source setting called SERVICE from FME to FMENOFACTORY - this will exclude the SmallworldGeometryFactory from the process.
If this works OK, then the problem would be the factory, and you should send it to our support team. If this still fails then I'm thinking this is probably something that you should log with GE, since it appears to me to be a problem on their side of the process. I have heard about problems with splines in sw4 before, but I don't know what the outcome was. In sw3 the splines would get vectorised but would at least be read without error.
