Thanks Jason, There's a little bit of functionality that isn't obvious at first glance so I created a movie file to demonstrate how to use it. I think these bits of drag-n-drop capability will greatly improve productivity within Workbench.
The movie is a little rough and ready, but you'll get the idea of how it all works. For now you can find it at... http://www.fmepedia.com/attachments//Sandbox/Drag-N-Drop.avi ...though it may get moved to a proper page eventually. The latest beta is - as always - on our web and ftp sites. The one thing I forgot to mention is that if I have existing attribute mapping, then it gets passed through when a transformer is dropped in. With the old 'insert before', any attribute mapping would have been lost. And no, for the moment we can't drag a transformer from the gallery and drop it in this way. We're looking into it. Hope this is useful, Regards, Mark Mark Ireland, Senior Product Specialist Safe Software Inc.
