Well, it seems like it's virus month on the Internet.  HelpNet member 
Roxanne Munksgaard sent me an alert E-mail she had gotten from Symantec 
about the latest virus, "w32.Goner.A@mm."  This is another mass-mailing 
virus, which can also spread through the ICQ and IRC networks.  When a 
machine is infected, the virus can disable (and delete) common antivirus 
and firewall programs -- it's a nasty one.

The virus will arrive as an E-mail attachment to a message (quite possibly 
from someone you know), with the subject "Hi," which says it's sending you 
a screen saver.  The attached file is named "gone.scr" - DO NOT OPEN IT!

There are updated virus definitions available from both McAfee and Norton 
that will  protect you from this virus.  FOr more information, see:
