Cynthia- Thanks for the warning. I had not heard of IE 6 upgrade problems before this. It's always a good idea to backup anything important before installing new software, especially software that gets as deeply into the bowels of Windows as Internet Explorer. But Microsoft should have no excuse for an upgrade (which you're supposed to do to avoid security holes) that trashes your system. I guess folks will have to judge which risk they'd rather take.
The tie-in with Peachtree Accounting is interesting -- how did you make this connection? Mabel Wadsworth Women's Health Center has a computer with Windows 98 2nd Edition, IE 6, and Peachtree Accounting. Windows and IE 6 were installed before Peachtree. The computer locks up at seemingly random moments -- not so much as to be unusable, but certainly very annoying. I was suspicious of Peachtree before,and now I'm even more suspicious.
