Ralph-

I assume you meant to say that these are not virus-generated messages.  As 
a wild guess (with mphasis on "guess") I wonder if his address book is 
corrupted.  He could try deleting your cousin's address, and then 
recreating it.  If that doesn't work, he could try renaming the existing 
address book, creating a new address book, and imporrting the old addresses 
into it.

What Email program is he using?  If it's Eudora, the addresses are kept in 
a text file, nndbase.txt, so you could open it with a text editor and see 
if anything looks funky in it.
