Absolutely, though as far as I know, programming FPGSs is relatively slow
which limits the 'on-the-fly' programming that is practical.  Something
like the Intellasys SEAforth processor
(http://www.intellasys.net/products/seaforth/index.php) might better
support JIT hardware applications.
