A plan is to unify Jolt, IdSt (and Coke) into one "real" thing (remember, Jolt means "not quite the real thing"). Making a Squeak VM on that would be a fun exercise, but I don't envision to provide a production level quality VM wouldn't be in the scope of the NSF project.
