Hi, Wabei

One problem is that you specified an "extent" on fo:region-body, which
doesn't have that property. This may have been handled badly by FOP
logic.

Here's some pointers:

page content rectangle height = page height - margin-top(page) -
        margin-bottom(page)

In your case, you'll have 29.7cm - 1cm - 1cm = 27.7cm available to you in
the page content rectangle.

Because of your typo, your region-body expects to occupy all of the content
rectangle for the page except for the bottom 1cm, so you have 26.7cm of
height assigned to region-body. Assuming that the "extent"'s you have for
region-before and region-after are exactly what you want, you should set a
margintop of at least 1cm on region-body, and a margin-bottom of at least
11cm on region-body, hence leaving an effective content rectangle height for
region-body of 27.7cm - 1cm - 11cm = 15.7cm or less.

I'll check out why you are getting the erroneous -49 inches, because that's
not very helpful whether you put in bad numbers or not. :-)

Hope this helps. I strongly recommend checking out the diagrams in the XSL
spec for simple-page-master. They should clarify the relationships among the
5 regions for you.
