What do you mean with 'print diacritic code'? You usually don't need to do anything special for printing non-ASCII characters.
I think 'diacrictic code' is 'bar code' in your language (I'm using polish) ;-). I know that I can print some black rectangles on page, but why, if there is one simple 'escape sequence' in my printer interface which can do this.
Also for page-orientation, use a different page master. Some renderers/printer-drivers are smart enough to tell the printer what it should do.
Well, changing page orientation in not really a problem. I think that in this case there is some other ways to take the same efect. But the point is that I need to steer my printer, using special codes, for serial printing. This printer for example could put pages to the envelopes, has paper guillotine. Sometimes (and this is the problem) I need to send something special on every page break.
