This isn't a problem with all Solaris systems. I ran
FOP/Saxon tests (to verify I could use FOP cross-platform) last year on both
HP-UX and Solaris 2.8 systems and FOP ran fine. I haven't played with it
since as I have not switched my software project to FOP yet; FOP is still on my
wish list of enhancements to my project.
I would suggest verifying that you can do ANY XLST
transforms with Saxon on your system.
