I don't know about Ivy but it is safe to use the latest version of
Avalon Framework (4.3 I think). Commons-Logging is not necessary if you
use 0.20.5. Only 0.90alpha1 also requires commons-logging, and
commons-io. Batik is probably more tricky since you should use the
version that comes with FOP.
