It's not on my high-priority list and as far as I can remember from when I implemented the layout manager code for tables, this is a non-trivial task. So unless someone else does it or my priorities change, I guess the next release will still have this limitation.
Did you understand my suggestion about removing the blind table (keep work-around)?
