Well, if you don't acknowledge that the IBM JVM has a potential bug then
all you have left is modify the PSImageUtils.writeImage() method. to
skip the ASCII85 encoding. PostScript skills required. I'd switch to a
Sun VM first and verify that the problem is with the IBM JVM which I'm
pretty sure of. It could also be a class loading problem related to
WebSphere. But in any case IBM might want to hear about any potential
problems of this kind.
